Privacy Policy for Roast My

Roast My is made by Ekdahl Software Solutions (“we”). This policy explains what data we process when you use the iOS app. It is written for App Store users. It is not legal advice.

What we collect

Photos you choose to roast — sent to our server for analysis.
Anonymous device identifier — to enforce daily limits and sync purchases.
Purchase information — handled by Apple; we receive transaction IDs to unlock Pro or credits.
Basic technical logs — errors, latency, and abuse protection on our server.

How photos are used

When you request a roast, your photo is uploaded over HTTPS to our backend and forwarded to an AI vision provider (OpenAI) to generate humorous text. We do not permanently store your photos on our servers after the request completes.

Third parties

Apple — App Store purchases and device services.
OpenAI — AI image analysis (subject to their privacy policy).
Render — API hosting infrastructure.

Children

The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your choices

You can stop using the app at any time and delete it from your device. Purchases are managed through your Apple ID.
